We are building the TCG Archivist Marketplace. It is a place to buy and sell singles, built into the collection system you already use. We built it because selling cards on other sites feels too much like work: photos, grading, pricing, and typing, for every single card. We think there is a better way, and it starts with the collection you already scanned.

You do not make listings

To sell on our marketplace you simply mark cards for trade. You can do this as individual cards, storage locations, or groups of locations. Then you opt in as a seller and set your price. This price is a global percentage of current market value, one setting that covers every card you sell. That is it, no individual listings ever. And the beauty is, as you scan new cards into a tradable location, they are listed for sale automatically. Scan a card today, and it can sell tonight.

There is no card grading here

This marketplace is built for players first. Most players do not care if a card is near mint or lightly played. They just want to play it. So we removed grading. Near mint, lightly played, and moderately played cards all sell here at the same price. Damaged cards are not allowed: if you could not play it in a tournament, you can not sell it here. We know every other marketplace does this differently. We think simple beats perfect for most people, and we would rather you spend your evening playing with your cards than inspecting them.

We tell you where your sold cards are

When you sell cards, our software already knows where you keep them. Every order shows the exact storage location of every card you need to pull. This is especially powerful if you use chaotic storage: no digging through boxes, just go where it says and grab the card. Pack it, ship it, done.

Your collection updates itself

When you sell a card and mark the order shipped, the card is removed from your collection for you. When you buy a card and mark it received, the card is added to your collection for you. Your collection always matches what is actually in your boxes, without you fixing counts by hand.

The deck builder will fill your cart

When you build a deck and you are missing cards, soon you will be able to add all the missing cards to your cart with one tap. Build the deck, buy the gaps, play the deck.

There is a lot more coming. We would rather ship it than promise it.

How the beta works

Before we open the doors to everyone, we want a small group of collectors to use the marketplace for real. Real cards, real money, real shipping. Here is what being a beta tester looks like:

  • You buy a few cards and sell a few of your own.
  • You ship what you sell. An envelope and stamps for small orders, or we buy the tracked shipping label for you and you just print it.
  • You tell us what is confusing or broken. You get a direct line to us, and what you flag, we fix.
  • You get in before everyone else, and you help shape how the marketplace works before the public launch.

Seats are limited and the beta is US only for now. If the seats fill up, we will put you on the waitlist and you will be in the next wave.
