Can I really search by ability or effect, not just card name?+
Yes. Stack filters for color, type, keyword, ability, mana cost, and oracle text, so you can pull up every card that does a thing, not just the one you happen to remember by name. This is how you find cards you forgot you owned.
Does it work with sports cards or other TCGs?+
Not right now. The CSC100 is built specifically for Magic: The Gathering. It does not support sports cards or other trading card games, so if that's what you collect, this isn't the tool for you yet.
Does it work with sleeved cards?+
The automatic feeder is built for raw, unsleeved cards, which is what keeps it fully hands-free. But the app also has manual and grid scan modes that read sleeved cards just fine, so nothing in your collection is off-limits, you just scan sleeved cards a different way.
Will it recognize showcase, extended art, foils, and old sets?+
It recognizes showcase, extended art, and specific set printings. Foils are the one exception, they aren't auto-detected, so we recommend scanning your foils separately and tagging the whole stack as foil with one tap in the app.
